The Trucker Family Project
by Trish
(NYC)
Hi Guys and Gals.
My name's patricia, and I'm a student at NYU Film School. When I was little, my dad used to tell me about how my grandfather was a trucker for a few years back when he was a boy, and I've always been fascinated with the lifestyle. My dad himself was a working man, but a construction worker. Long story short--I grew up to be a documentary Filmmaker, documenting the triumphs and struggles of the working man.
Although I'm not shooting a film now, I am writing a thesis for my Labor studdies seminar. It's a 25 page research paper on the LIFE and FAMILY OF THE AMERICAN TRUCKER. My professor told me I could do it all from books, but I don't think that's fair. WHO BETTER TO TALK ABOUT A TRUCKER THAN A TRUCKER?
I am interested in hearing from:
TRUCKERS
Male
Female
Young
Old
Married
Unmarried
Divorced
With kids
without kids
THEIR WIVES/HUSBANDS/SIGNIFIGANT OTHERS
I want to hear how you keep the spark alive
How you parent
Why it makes your relationships better/worse
How you make a home on the road
How God figures into your life
