High Paying Trucking Jobs
Contrary to the posts on this site, it is possible to obtain a good paying trucking job $45,000 - $53,000 per year!
I am a registered sex offender with the least restrictive classification whose term ends in 2017 and there were 3 regional cdl A positions I had to choose from.
Two were in the commercial food distribution field and paid anywhere from $54,000/year to an average of $65,000/year. Top driver made $140,000 last year(verified!) and do know the work is physically challenging but rewarding.
This is the type of income that will enable you to not only take care of your love ones but get ANYTHING WITHIN REASON UNDER THE SUN! We want a new house built next year and I want a new vette. I passed up an offer to work for a small but solid small company that was going to assign me in a brand spanking new 2016 Freightliner Cascadia to run regional down to the CAROLINAS and Atlanta area but since I recently graduated from trucking school in January with no verifiable experience I turned it down cause they didn't have any additional training like the larger carriers.
Owner still wanted me to drive and had confidence in me but I nearly pleaded with him to have someone go with me at least for 2-3 weeks but since there wasn't I didn't want to be a possible safety hazard to myself or the public! And it started out at .40/mile; but my conscience
wouldn't let me.
And yes,to answer many of your concerns the big carriers such as Schneider,JB,Werner,...etc Will not touch you due mainly to their insurance;THEIR LOSS!
"LISTEN VERY CAREFULLY TO ME, EACH AND EVERY READER OF THIS POST." YOU HAVE TO STOP FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVE VIEWS OF OTHERS AND SOCIETY AND REFOCUS YOUR ATTENTION ON APPLYING AT SMALLER COMPANIES THAT GENERALLY DON'T ADVERTISE!ONCE AGAIN THEY ARE GENERALLY MORE FORGIVING AND WILL GIVE YOU A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE!
PUT YOUR BEST FOOT FORWARD WHEN YOU GET THERE BECAUSE FIRST IMPRESSIONS ARE GENERALLY THE MOST REMEMBERED.AND WHEN YOU GET THAT JOB/CAREER "OFFER A HAND UP TO YOUR BROTHER/SISTER SO THAT THEY MAY COME UP! Yes I have had my share of challenges to obtaining a good, meaningful job BUT I REFUSED TO GIVE IN OR BE MADE TO FEEL INFERIOR BECAUSE I MADE A PAST MISTAKE AND I KEPT PRESSING AND WITH 100 NOS,THERE IS A FEW YESES! Heck,I applied at THE FORD MOTOR COMPANY a few years back, passed an 8 hour test, beat out over 1,000 people to get on with them only to be laid off with nearly 100 co-workers over a year ago, lol!
Though I am scheduled to be called back in the next month or so,I am drawn to driving and the freedom it affords. Don't desire to drive otr but locally or regionally at the most. So my brothers and sisters, KEEP YOUR HEAD UP AND FOCUSED ON HIM THAT WILL KEEP YOU FROM FALLING....
