Trying to decide between Prime or USA.

I have my cdl, but I haven't been otr in nearly 20 years. So it's back to school. I'm looking at either Prime or USA. I keep reading both bad and good on both companies, so it's hard to make a decision.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Deciding on a trucking company NEW

Lamar to help me decide on a trucking company I would just compare all of the other things that are important to you. As you stated, there are drivers happy and miserable at both. It's probably more related to the other things they didn't take into account.

How close they stayed to the home terminal
How much they paid drivers after a certain amount of time
How much benefits costs and what benefits are available

As you know at any of the companies you can run into personality conflicts so you can control that.

However, if you love everything else about the job, it can he your attitude and you can make up for someone else's lacking a little better so that you can have a good working relationship and get your miles and get your updated experience there until you are hired at a better trucking company that will treat you right.
