Trying to find answers about abandonment situation

I am a company driver. I am leaving one company to go to another.

If i bring the company truck home and ask the company to come get it is that considered abandonment and can i do this without getting in trouble.

Gotta be a terminal or an agreement to a waiting driver at a yard which good luck with that. They are also able to charge you and hold your check for the fuel/recovery fee. If the company does not agree it's abandonment. And I'd get the ok from someone other than dispatch

take the truck to the company terminal,hop a greyhound home....
