It will definitely hurt. It would depend on how long ago it was and the monetary value.

Also the circumstances surround the event.

Many trucking companies will count him out all together.

There will be a few who might entertain based on other information given to them on application or in interview.

Remember these people are trusting drivers with valuable equipment and and freight.

Also with responsibility and the need to make good decisions.

So he needs to make sure he is able to communicate growth and a new mindset for the comments of application and interviews.

He needs to know what trucking companies need and desire in an employee.
