What can happen if I by pass an open scale house with pre pass

I'm a newer driver and I was just wondering what will happen if I accidentally drive by an open scale house or weight station?

I pass scale almost every time everywhere.. As long as its open and 4 or more trucks are weighing. Its okay.. I say scale was full... But I never got pulled over for 9 yrs driving like that... Well. If there's nobody on scale. And if open proceed otherwise police is no busy inspecting so they will have great fun chasing slow boy trucker.. Returning him back and inspect level 1 also ticket and violation for sure... But then u can go to court with that ticket... Its democracy USA... Man... Weight stations to make sure overweight trucks don't mess up roads here that's all nothing more.. Keep police busy . lol

You will probably get pulled over within a mile of the scale and be given a ticket.

One driver told me he went absent mindedly by a scale but immediately pulled over, got all of his documents together and walked back and apologized and did not get a ticket.

Or you could get lucky and they are too busy to chase you. But I would not count on that.

Lets say you pick up a load and you must go tru a dot scale before you weight the truck and you dont know the weight, find a route that is not illegal for trucks to get around the scale, might not be moral but is not illegal, in California you will get fined and lose 3 points in your license.

If you are in Florida, I think you have to go in the scale regardless. (Confirm that)

In other states, if you have a green light you can by pass the scale. If you get a red light you must go in.

If you by pass when you are supposed to go in, you will get a ticket and fine.
