you may make that much or not
by: pokydingo

If you drive for a company that does a lot of long haul, and your not worried about being home all the time, you can make that your first year.
First trip start to win their confidence that you come through for them, your trips will get better each time you do.After six trips or so you will notice better and longer trips. That's where the money is at.You make no money at a loading dock, so hit as few each week as possible.
Always be on time and make sure they know you have hours to run when you get empty. They will not plan you on a next run if they don't know your ready and able as soon as your empty.
Theres a lot to learn about how to make money in this business, learn it by experience.
If you want to be home, you will make no money your first year.

Think About it
by: Anonymous

The economy is slow. Stores and companies are reporting bigger losses than ever. Of course if the product isn't needed it does not requier shipping. There are tons of drivers out there who thought driving would be the best answer to their personal money problems only to learn very quickly that the recruiters flat out lied to them. I have sat in one place for a week waiting for a load that would only go a few hundred miles to repeat the process. Plan on earning about 300 a week. And really think about the cost of living in a truck.

How much money?
by: Jimmy

Yes, you can make $35k if everything falls into place. But, I wouldn't count on it. You have to get steady miles constantly. In this economy, it ain't easy. I would figure half of that, if you're planning on bill paying. Jimmy
