They administer both hair and piss drug tests on either day 1 or 2. Hair for CRST and Piss for federal. If you know, youre not going to pass, dont waste yours and their time.

Answers to all the CRST drug screening questions NEW

Okay, here's the answer everyone's looking for..

You go to CRST school where you will need your DOT medical card. DOT only does urine test, but is strick about prescribed medication's (so no need marijuana cards, low blood pressure or bi polar meds ect..) if you legally take Suboxone or equivalent, don't list it because they don't test for it.

After school, you will take another urine test for CRST employment. No hail follicle test as of now. Also, no - no one watches you or goes into the bathroom with you while you pee.

No judgments here. Just be safe and good luck.

I am starting my orientation with CRST next week and curious if anyone know whether or not CRST does hair follicle testing. I will have no problem with urine test, but I did smoke a little pot about 10 weeks ago so i curious about hair follicle testing. Anybody know? I know for a fact that SWIFT started tesing hair follicles, but need to know aout CRST.

How is it that in 2017, we have a bunch of dumb baby boomers with no grasp on MMJ place in society today. They use urine because hair test cost over 250$ for lab testing and in the application it states 50$ for background checks and 50$ for drug test and also tells us its a dot drug test which is only a 5 panel

well to all of your hate messages about users and abusers. Yes you are right druggies have no business behind the wheel. But some people have a past, and something in there lives makes them quit and go look for a new career.

I have been there, I smoked constantly up until 90 days ago, and things in my life changed, I dont care for it, I have major responsibilities, and I want to drive commercially. I ask the question too, what kind of tests do certain companies do, its because I am starting my life over. All you hate and nay sayers need to realize we are all different. Now if your asking the question just to pass the test and then continue smoking, or using, then f you, wrong career. but some of us have no desire to go back. Trucking is a new career for me why and who would be high driving a truck or even ever smoke again it makes me tired if i smoke driving thousands of miles i don't need a sleep aid

As a driver with 37 yrs accident free operating I'd just like to say if you are a drug user we dont need you out there operating a big truck..

If you are clean then you have no need to worry what kind of test they will use...It takes 110% of your concentration to operate safe and if you are driving and not 100% fit to do so.. stay at home.

I dont know if you are trying to just sneak by on this test or maybe you are just looking for info but I am going to take this time to talk to everyone who may read this.

LOOK, If you think your are dirty, don't even get on that bus. This trip is not going to be fun at all and guess what when you think you can pass a drug test and you don't your gonna do a whole lot of sitting around doing nothing and then they are gonna send you right back home.

This isn't some mickey mouse job where they will say, Ahh its just a little bit, it'll be out by the time you get hired. NO. How would you like it if I was driving down the road drunk, stoned, high, whatever and I T-boned one of your family members?

This job is not some joke and I am sick of hearing questions like this. If you want to drive a truck, grow up, sober up, and forget about drugs. This isnt the lifestyle like it was in the 70's and 80's when all these truckers are on meth and never stopping for 3 days or whatever.

Things are strict out here and its about to get 10 times worse. So do yourself a favor, if you think your dirty, get a job for a month, drink some water and take that trip next month.

Im sorry and I know you are probably just trying to get info and yes its just urine but its amazing how many people come on here worrying about drug tests.

This is not some joke out on the road, this is serious business and you have to be sober to do it. Quitting drugs is the least of your worries to get on the road, if you cant quit drugs then find another career path.

The rest answered with personable experiences and rants. Its a damn shame the decline of western civilization.Not one from 2018 has answered what type is currently being used.Ive asked elswhere and found the same shameful stupidity.
