what really goes on at the trucker truck stops??? new to this lifestyle and i've heard so many stories about what goes on in truck stops that i'm a bit worried, can someone calm my nerves, a wife that may be more experience???

Accidentally caught my husband hooking up with another driver (male) . We put a recorder on his phone for recording his snoring cause I think he has sleep apnea.. guess he forgot. Lost my shit. Kept my composure til he got home . Recorded the next 4 nights. Omg. Every night he stopped he was with another trucker.

Denied it when confronted proclaiming he's not gay. Divorce is in process as we speak.
Never in a million years would I have thought he would do this .

Ladies. Be on the lookout ..it happened to me. It could happen to you .

I caught my husband on video, long story, paying a scummy ass trashy lot lizard to let him perform oral sex on HER! I can honestly say that was the worst thing I’ve ever seen in my life! When I asked him, he swore on his sons own life, hoped he die a horrible death, if would EVER mess with a lot lizard! Wow! Shows how much he cares about the people he says he loves. He is also spreading HIV, an DOES NOT CARE! He tells the lizard she doesn’t need a condom. We had a PERFECT marriage. My soul, feelings for anything, an respect are gone! I pray I do not come across any of you lizards. You’ll pray to God one of the truckers got a hold of you instead of me! Get a real job! An quit spreading disease! I was a waitress at a truck stop when I met my hubby. He was the first & last trucker for me. I have went out 2 & 3 wks at a time. The funny thing is I have been is nice truckstops & places thats didnt deserve that title & yet I have heard about lot lizards(prostitutes)but have never seen but 1. They are out there, they get rides from truckers to different truck stops also. I have heard story from my hubby but they do get chased of alot. I would be more worried with my hubby cheating with someone he see's alot than a lot lizard. But if he comes home when he says. Has a paycheck consistant with miles he ran,& you stay in contact often he probably is not gonna stray. Check stops are a place to eat, shower, shop, fuel, use the restroom, relax, sleep, or a bit to eat & drink on the go. Truck stops fill up quick, so truckers try to stop early for a spot to sleep, you should go & see. Our minds automatically jump to my man hasn't been home, hasn't called, spent money I didn't know he had, so he must be cheating. believe me I know how that feels.

My husbands an owner~op and I ride with him:So here it is.I have come across the nicest bunch of guys.husbands fathers granddads.they miss being at home with the love ones.and they talk.about those things with each other.yes u have some trk stops that u park' close the curtains.and turn c.b off.but >4the most the drivers r changing bring the kids n summer wives r getting on board.in last 3yrs I've been out here.so much better I have no problem with walking frm trk to store or walking parking lot for exercise.yes u need a since of humor.out here.the seedy side:well if ure not looking:: this will always be looked at as the GYPSY LIFE. I'm glad to see more women drivers out here.

i went with my husband on a very short 2 day trip. at the truck stops we ate. used the bathroom...rested a bit and left. when im not there he eats, sleeps and watches his tv. most of the lizards are so disgusting they are completely undesirable. my husband and his students call whatever kind of security they can to shoo these people away. he also may blow the air horn at them to get them to leave...if they hang around his truck. but this is VERY rare. he clanims he hasnt seen any in months, but he only stops at TA's and flying j's. i wouldnt worry about it. i dont.

Happenings at a truck stop.

It's like your local C-store/gas station, but much larger and better equipped. Parking for 10-500 trucks, depending on size. Fuel islands, repair shop, restaurants, showers, TV, game room, and maybe a CB shop. Some have multiple fast food joints on site.

But there's a sleazy side to many truck stops. For some unknown reason, truck stop employees never seem to venture out into the parking area. The exception being a custodian that may occasionally empty trash cans, or clean the fuel islands. Some may have security cruising the lot. Point being, a lot of low lifes hang out at truck stops, selling whatever. They blend in with truckers easily. However a sharp street-wise driver can spot the riff-raff easily.

Unfortunatily, a lot of drivers feel right at home cozying up to these low lifes. They will "hire" a working girl, or give a ride to a complete stranger that looks pretty scroungy. Jimmy

1st of all, as the driver drives the 18wheels into the Real small space -called a truck stop- fueling the truck is usually an option, (havent seen many walmarts selling fuel for trucks) then maybe parking the beauty(18wheels) in a safe secure spot that will hopefully be safe for the truck and driver, finishing the fuel purchase transaction-inside the building, bathroom break, or washup (shower-or water in a sink basin) if there is food sold inside--a snack or real somewhat homemade meal, entertainment for a while- tv room pinball games etc. and then the big decision, stay for the 10hr break, or get back tothe place called home"the road" to finish up the 14 hrts and hopefully find another place of realestate where all the above can be found to park it for 10 hrs.

so thats what goes on at a truck stop. of course in the bigger ones wheeels can be polished by a person looking to earn afew dollars. trucks can get swept out and cleaned for a few dollars too.

drivers can meet and greet each other, friends can be mnade, jokes can be told, complaints can be heard about such and such. the score of the latest football game basketball game baseball game etc. (yeah ive heard about hockey and soccer games too) and when the polotics get ruff ....you might get away with changing the ntopic to those suits in the white house.
Truck stops are the break rooms of the factory's wharehouses and even the big corporations, but the drivers are well on a different schedule, and concerned about fuel, miles, economy, food, family, the job, etc.....
so if ya heard that anything else goes on in a truck stop.....yup its true, there is crime-just like there is in the parking lot of IBM, ATT, etc and walmart shopping stores.
there are people "working the streets" just like there are in any large city .
just like in the factory, we dont all become best friends cause of this or that, same in the truck stops.....so they are wonderful places to stop at and grab a few hrs away from the job, and enjoy all the good things about them. But for those wanting to see the bad things....then its not the truck stops one has to worry about but the person who left the family back home(out of sight and out of mind).

The truck stops that still have good restrants or sit down tables at the take out.. are a blessing for those who carry AMERICA ON THIER BACKS.

From what I've heard there are lot lizards all over the place. It is up to the trucker to not frequent them and report them to security. My daughter even got propositioned from a lot lizard. Needless to say, when she was finished with her rant the lot lizard ran screaing with her tail between her legs.
