old trucks are best

as long as your truck will pass the DOT inspection, and the scrutiny at the weigh stations, your truck could be so old that it has final chain drive. i worked at a company that still had a mack with wooden spole wheels and solid rubber tires with a tandem axle , fifth wheel and a chain drive to the rear axle,

if its old and paid for its better then brand new and payments so if you run your own loads and cant find freight , then truck payments dont make you make poor business decisions.
