I actually had to take a refresher course. After I got out of school I didn't find a job for about 9 months and the first company I worked for said I take it or no job. So I had to go to a driving school in Little Rock and join in on a new driving school. Had to do this for a week which I guess wasn't that bad. They pretty much put you in a super excellerated truck driving school. Worst part is you have to do schooling part like maps and yadda til your drug test and physical are cleared. Its a bunch of bs but if that's what you gotta do then what can you say.

when you might need a refresher courseNEW by: Hervy
Keith, a refresher course will cover the things that you mentioned and more. It is as the name suggests. Refreshes a person on the skills needed to be a truck drivers.
Companies often don't require a refresher course unless it's been over a few years since a person has driven.
Also, no matter how long you drove for, if it has not been recent, many companies will want a driver to take a refresher course.
