Whats your advice about these serious financial issues

OK ladies. Been with my trucker now for two years. Not married, not engaged.I am raising his 2 children and my son while going to school and working. This, I don't mind. BUT.....

He continually finds himself in financial difficulty for truck repairs and child support for his two children that reside with his ex.

He has misrepresented himself when he told me he paid bills; later telling me that he gambled it away. Now he is in a mad panic due to child maintenance issues and needs over 10 grand in the next 7 days or he will lose his license.

He has asked me to get my parents involved by co-signing a loan for him. I couldn't possibly do that. They have helped me so much already through my divorce after a 20 year marriage. And he has proven time and time again that he has a gambling problem.

I have done everything I can to help including cashing in my RRSPs for truck repairs. I don't know whether to save myself and my son and run.... or stick around to see what happens.

He has told me different stories constantly. I love his kids and feel bad for them but have gone through some pretty bad stuff with my ex. and dont want to repeat it.

I am trying to protect my credit rating so I can move forward in the future, he seems to think that I will go and magically make the money appear before the end of the week.

I have already purchased a large SUV in my name to cart the kids around in and am stuck with a $15000 car loan after not having a car loan for many years ( I paid off my car ).

Has anyone else out there dealt with similar issues? If so... what is your advice and what was the outcome of your situation?
