Don't get me wrong I love my husband married 25 years and I think he is having a mid life crises. He decided this year he wants to be a truck driver. I do miss having him be my side, we talk several times a day on the phone.

Thank God for unlimited cellular service, we just need to hear each others voices. I have to admit it has put a new spark in our relationship. Longing for him to come home and can't wait for his ass to get back out on the road.

LOL Love ya baby still here for ya after all these years!

Thank you for your post. My husband and I have been married 30 years and the relationship is stagnant. He's wanting to drive o/t and I get it, I think. I guess I feel he's wanting to be away from me and that hurts my feelings but I also think the time apart might be good for us. I've had such mixed emotions and he doesn't understand. Trying to be optimistic. I am a Christian so I do pray about it and trust that God will give me the peace I need.

If you have kids and they are leaving the nest, your - and another who is college-bound after next year. We decided driving would be the best way to actually be able to continue to see them all. My husband is my playmate, companion, and best friend and I can't wait to hit the road with him. We're planning to put a few sentimental things in storage and sell everything else so he can drive while we can pay off some things to become debt-free and build some savings.
