Why the majority have to lie and can't be a man or a leader so to speak? They follow the crowd and are cowards

What you have just expressed has more to do with the human race as a whole, so to better put what you are trying to accuse just truckers mentality and their being, you must include the human race as a whole...

I do not know any truckers, and I know what you have expressed as some behavior/narcissistic tendencies is more likely to be in our mainstream population than in the trucker population. So your facts are inaccurate and you need to go back to school to grow some compassion for people, and in order for you to stop stereotyping other people.

It is known for people like yourself who like to stereotype others, are also to be know as bigots, and very prejudice finger pointers, and this is how I will categorize you.

Truckers Mentality NEW

Although truckers are not the only ones who get caught up in this cycle...this industry is notorious for having to focus strictly on traffic, log books and regulations. In my opinion and experience (as well as many other stories I've been told), the mentality of a trucker is one that bolts at daily trials. They lose the ability to deal with anything beyond what their "aloneness" allows. They say things and then deny it, or recall a specific event, when if fact, it never happened. Google and read about "Crazy Making Behavior/narcissitic tendoncies" and see if that sounds like anything you're dealing with. I promise it was enlightening for me. Just a thought....

WHY DO THEY LIE? NEW

I am a little confused. Being a trucker does not mean that they are all liars. Being a man does not mean that they are all liars. If you are being lied to consistantly by your husband then you might want to take a look at your relationship no matter what he does for a living. I agree with an earlier post, get a close relationship with God and pray for the wisdome to know what to do in your situation. From past experience in a previous marriage (he wasn't a truck driver) I found that in order to remain sane, I either had to stay in denial that he wasn't lying and up to no good, or make the choice to make changes in me to empower myself to live a better life. Thank the Lord, today I don't have to worry about these things. I have a solid Christian relationship with a wonderful husband, whom I miss a great deal when he is on the road. I get sad at times, but I don't have to worry about what he is doing or who he is with. Please take care of yourself, find a good Christian support group in your area and then you will be able to make a decision about your situation and what you want to do about it.

I am not the one who is trying to persuade anybody to think as I do. If you had any common sense you would see, I clearly stated in my opinion. I don't believe that the person in the original post was looking for a definite answer but, more of a idea; a different perspective. I don't really care about politics. However since your thanking God note to self Thou shall not lie is one of the ten commandments. Whether or not you choose to be honest is ultimately between that person and their savior. I don't personally invest my time in people who lie as for business as long as I get paid so be it. I don't assume the consequences for anybody's actions. I am only accountable for myself. When I mentioned leader I wasn't talking about a job whereas people consider you a leader as a result. I am talking about simple everyday day people who have chosen to give up a part of something in order to be a blessing to someone else. A person who has taken a stand in their community. My employees, and fellow co workers who mentor to troubled youth. I have all the degrees I need. I can donate you my books now you enjoy your summer however you choose.

What I did not understand was that you are not being realistic when you indicate that to be a leader a person needs to be selfless. Although the statement may be a good start for those who want to be leaders. Being selfless may not be a fact. There are many people in politics that are leaders and are "Not" selfless. They are in it for the money, status, and ego.

So as I tried to imply in my statements before, is lets look at the bigger picture and quit lying to ourselves and move beyond those lies and go forward.

Live in a life that looks beyond what everyone else is doing and correct what is wrong in our own lives, before we start crucifying others for not being complete (or a liar) the world would benefit more if we just stuck to what we believe in and not what everyone is doing wrong around us.

As it stands people have lied for many reasons and we can not possibly give the person who wrote the original post any definite answer as to why people lie. You and I just see things in another light. You have a right to your opinion and I respect that, try respecting others and stop persuading people to think as you do.

Thank God we are all different and think on all different levels.

First of all you were right about one thing your post is your opinion, as mine is too . You seem to have had an issue with my post. The situation is not about whether or not people of any type or career lie; it's a simple question of why. See we understand everybody has lied at one point or another and in my opinion it's in my post Selfless or Selfish... Read it and get a clue.

I see you got the picture. A more realistic view of the original post is that people lie and that is human nature. Bottom line.

Truck Drivers get a bad rap all the time. So point be made, not only truck drivers lie but so does everyone.

Let one person say they have never told a lie and I will tell them personally they just told a lie.

My post is my opinion and my truth and I am sticking to it. If you don't like what other people have to say and can't say anything positive than maybe you are have some issues you need to tend to.

Not every post needs a comment, a lesson told.

People who run businesses lie all the time should we get a way from them?

Sales people lie do we get away from them?

What is your definition of a lie?

Or is it just might be you are hearing a manipulation?

Is a manipulation consider a lie?

And if it is what do we do when our little child manipulates us to get what they want?

Do we get away from them?

Selfless or Selfish NEW

For many people male or female honesty is only important when it's convenient. In order to be a leader of any kind you have to be selfless. You have to care more about the bigger picture and how you can contribute instead of what's in it for you. Many people aren't willing to deny themselves anything no matter what the cost. Selfishness is what keeps people from becoming much more than they already are, being self absorbed can blind you from your true purpose.

People who strive to have a close relationship with the Lord, loves what the Lord loves, and hates what he hates. Lying is one of the seven deadly sins. When God isn't first place in your life, you can fall into temptations of all sorts, which can hurt your life, and the lives of others your actions affect. Get away from a liar, if there's one lie, there's more you haven't found out about, and there will be more to come.
