A hernia is not an automatic disqualifying condition. It will depend on whether the examiner feels that your hernia (or what caused it) will keep you from safely operating the vehicle.

I would assume that the effects of the type of medication that you need would also be taken into consideration.

I heard hernial are very painful. Hope that situation clears up for you.
