Would like to do a ride along with a OTR Truck Driver

Hi,

I am a Graduate Student doing research on long haul truck drivers and am looking at how they live and interact in the cab of the truck.

As part of my research I am hoping to do a ride along with a driver, however, all the companies I have reached out to in my state (North Carolina) wont allow passengers for liability reasons.

Do you have any advice that would help with being able to do a ride along to help me better understand the lifestyle and challenges for truck Drivers.
