Get paid! by: Anonymous
I'm a female driver. When I started driving, I drove OTR for Covenant Transport out of Chattanooga, TN for 2 years after I got out of truck driver training school. I made good miles and money...and that company has a far better "image" than a lot of the other beginner companies out there. There are a few that have bad reputations, so do your research. Plus Covenant has the best training pay in the industry, which all companies will require you to go through company training after you get out of truck driver training school. Some companies only pay $50 a day training, Covenant actually pays mileage! The trucks are governed at 65 while most companies are set at 60 to 62...that 3 to 5 miles adds up to more pay too believe it or not;) Good luck!

Stevens for newbies by: Anonymous
My daughter went to Stevens in Dallas as soon as she graduated with her new CDL-A. Lots of extra training and great OTR trainers. She couldn't be happier. Give them a call.
